There are many places within your portal where you can upload files to keep track of your important financial documents:
NOTE: The document storage system supports only the following common file formats: .csv, .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .xls, .xlsx, .zip
To upload documents in Docs:
1. Navigate to 'Docs' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Drag and drop your file/s into the upload space provided or click 'Browse' to locate the file/s within your device.
3. Once the file/s have been uploaded, a pop-up window will appear.
This allows you to send an optional notification to your managing professional to alert them of the upload.
Send: Clicking "Send" will send the recipient listed in the pop-up prompt a notification.
Cancel: Clicking “Cancel” will not send the recipient listed in the pop-up prompt a notification. The documents are still uploaded and stored in your portal.
NOTES:
-When uploading a document to your portal, the notification will go to your primary professional. You can view & modify your Primary Professional in your portal. If your portal lacks a primary professional, no notifications regarding the action will be sent.
-If you are a guest (personal or professional) uploading a document to a client's portal, the notification will go to the account owner/s.
-If you are a connection of an entity uploading a document to the Entity workspace, the notification will go to the authorised user/s.
4. From here, you have the option to move the file to a different folder if required.
To upload documents to a Task:
1. Navigate to 'Tasks' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Locate and click on the Task.
3. The Task opens. Drag and drop your documents in the space provided or click 'Browse' to search for the document/s on your device.
4. Once the document/s have been saved to the Task, they appear as an attachment.
Click 'Mark as complete' to finalize the Task.
Your Task now shows as completed in the Tasks list.
The document/s attached to the Task can also be found in the 'Docs' area of your portal.
NOTES:
- You can upload multiple files to a Task.
- Marking a Task as 'Complete' will cease all reminder notifications and will send the creator of the Task an automatic notification to let them know you have finalized the task.
To upload documents to a Wealth item:
1. Navigate to 'Networth' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Locate and click on the Wealth item.
3. Click the 'Documents' tab.
4. Drag and drop your documents in the space provided or click 'Browse' to search for the document/s on your device.
5. The file is uploaded and stored in the 'Documents' tab within the Wealth item.
The file can also be found in the 'Docs' area of your portal.
To upload documents to Cashflow:
1. Navigate to 'Financial'>'Cashflow' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Locate and click on the transaction that you want to upload a file to.
3. Further transaction details will open. Click 'Documents'.
4. Click 'Add document'.
5. Your system folders will open. Select the file you want to upload and click 'Open'.
6. The file is uploaded and stored in the 'Documents' tab within the cashflow transaction.
The file can also be found in the 'Docs' area of your portal.
To upload documents to a Room:
1. Navigate to 'Rooms' from the menu on the left of your portal.
2. Locate and click on the Room from your 'Active Rooms' list.
3. Click on the 'Documents' tab.
4. Click 'Add document'.
You have two choices: to add a new document, or to add an existing document already stored in your portal.
a) To add a new document, click 'Add a new document'.
A pop-up box will open. Drag and drop your file/s into the space provided or click 'Browse' to locate the file within your system.
b) To add an exisitng document already stored in your portal, click 'Add an existing document'.
A pop-up window appears. Select the existing document you want to upload from the drop-down list and click 'Import'.
5. Once the document/s have been uploaded, they are stored in the Documents area of the Room and the 'Activity' area will show the document upload actions.
6. To notify Room members of the document upload, navigate to the 'Chat' area and use the '@' symbol to tag relevant Room members in a comment.
NOTE:
- You can lock a file you have uploaded so no one else but you and your primary financial professional can delete.
- The document storage system supports the following common file formats: csv, .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .xls, .xlsx, .zip.
