IMPORTANT: Linking/unlinking of accounts can only be done when using the same set of online banking credentials. If you want to add an account belonging to a different set of online banking credentials, see How do I add a bank account via Open Banking?
Linking/unlinking accounts to a currently active Open Banking consent is simple.
You may want to stop sharing data of a previously linked bank account or have a new account you want to link to your current consent. This can be simply by managing your consent as below.
To link an account to an existing Open Banking consent:
- Navigate to the Wealth area in your portal.
- Locate the wealth item already linked to Open banking, click on the item and select 'Manage consent'.
- The 'Manage consent' window appears. Click 'Manage account'.
- The manage consent window shows you details of accounts actively being shared. Click 'Renew my consent'.
- The consent window is displayed. Click 'I consent'.
- You will now be directed to your financial institution. Click 'Connect'.
- A new browser window will open as part of your banking institution. (Steps may vary depending on your institution)
Enter in your Internet banking client ID and click 'Next'.
IMPORTANT: When linking a Macquarie account, you must use your Macquarie ID (an 8 digit code that can be found via the profile section of your Macquarie account) to log in. Using your email address to log in will result in a failed attempt. -
Enter your password into the field provided and click 'Next'.
- Accounts already shared with the portal are shown as indicated by a checkbox next to the account name.
To add an additional account, select the account using the checkbox and click 'Next'. - A confirmation screen will appear to show you the accounts that will be shared with your client portal. Click 'I confirm'.
- You are directed back to the client portal, where a summary of the accounts you are sharing is shown. Click 'Save & Finish'.
- The client portal shows a message to advise that the data is being carried over from your financial institution. Click OK.
Your dashboard will show the account adding status. - Once the account has been added, the dashboard will display an 'Accounts added successfully' message and the newly added item/s can be found within the Wealth section.
- At any time, you can renew consent, delete or hide the wealth item as necessary.
